If you're here, it means that you must've come from your ✨top secret boo assignment✨. Please take your time to look over the How to Boo Guide for details and FAQs!

RULES

⋆ 1 - bee nice to each other ⋆
please be mindful that we all come from different backgrounds and hold different experiences. regardless of who you are - help us strive to keep a light, friendly, and safe environment.

⋆ 2 - all site rules apply ⋆
we are prohibited to post about religion, drugs or alcohol; AND we also ask to stray away from politically sensitive topics.

⋆ 3 - tuesdays are teasdays ⋆
and on tuesdays we wear donut contact lenses.

⋆ 4 - club shop ⋆
we ask that purchases from the club shop are used solely for collections and to not buy excessively in order to allow others a chance. MAX 10 ITEMS PER DAY.

shop rules will change during shop events, please reference the shop event news in the newsletters!

⋆ 5 - club swaps ⋆
keep swaps to similiar values, avoid donating / swapping photos that are under 50k, and take note of how many photos you are swapping. MAX 5 of each photo.

⋆ 6 - club auctions ⋆
New Update December 11, 2025
- Staff auctions will go up on Sunday each week. Hours may vary depending on availability.

- Only one active bid on a staff auction at a time. If you are outbid, you can bid again on any staff auction.

- If you win a staff auction, do not bid on any other staff auctions until next week's auctions

Breaking these rules will result in a MM warning the first time, downgrade of club rank on second offense, and kick from club on third offense.

Note: we can’t regulate member auctions, so we will not be able to have those fall under these rules. If you have items you'd like to slap in club auctions, feel free to donate those items and mm Hair so we can put them up for you.

* all rules are subject to change at any time, and any time rules are changed or added, there will be a newsletter sent informing of these changes!

failure to follow these rules will result in being bumped down to ranking one and the lost of access - reinstatement of ranking will come with time.

FAQs

Q. How do I rank up?
A. Boo Crew is not as "advanced" as the other clubs that use club points to rank up. Instead, Boo Crew staff monitor and gauge your activity levels. We understand that everyone plays Marapets quite differently so we try to keep ranking up relatively simple. Things that we look out for for member promotions are (1) activity in club chat, (2) meaningful item donations*, (3) participation in club events, fashion shows, fashion show voting, and newsletter events!

*please don't donate junk items!

Q. What do the club points in the club mean then?
A. When you see that club points are activated*, it means that we are currently going through a club purge. While we are a very casual club and are generally okay with inactivity here and there, we want to ensure that our club resources are used by currently active members of the Boo Crew community. If you find that you've been purged from the club, it does not mean that you are banned. We will welcome non-banned members back to the club when they are back and ready to be active on Mara again!

Q. I want to list many auctions in one go, how do I go about this?
A. Because we do have to monitor our auctions to ensure that auction rules are being followed and members are being fair, we ask that you notify any one of the Boo Crew staff via MM for staff approval... Oh no Staff approval? We're turning into Marapets. XD

Q. Where do my club donations go?
A. When you donate to the club, all donations go towards future events, raffles, and giveaways. We currently do not have access to club till so we discourage members from donating mp, however items are always welcomed and appreciated!

Q. I'm not a member, but I'd like to join Boo Crew!
A. Boo Crew is not currently open for new members, but if you are interested if a free spot opens up, please reach out to one of our staff members! If you are a current Boo Crew member who wants to invite a friend, you will need to wait for open recruitment to submit your request! Thank you for understanding ❤️

Q. I can't use swaps because the club is being investigated for suspicious activity! Do I need to be worried?
A. Hilariously enough, Boo Crew gets locked down frequently because of the large amounts of item donations our club receives from all of our wonderful members! This is not something you need to worry about, although we completely understand the concern! Usually Mara staff is pretty good about clearing this and bringing our club "back online" in a timely manner.

*for legal reasons, pledging your firstborn to the cause is a joke!
