I sit behind the trash cans
to hide from them
but they do not know that I am missing.
I wait

I wait

I wait and no one comes.

Silently I cry
but inside I scream.

They don’t even miss me.
How long before they know I’m gone?

Voices blend with laughter
Smoke spilling into the ally

Does no one care?

I’m here, behind the trash cans
I wait
Come find me.

I wait

I wait

I wait and no one comes.

I am lost
Come find me.

Tell me you love me
Tell me you need me
Tell me you want me
I am here

behind the trash cans
I wait

I wait

I wait.
