When Transella first hatched, everyone called her a he. That was the role the world placed on her, and for a long time she tried to wear it, even though it never quite fit. Deep inside, there was a quiet, steady truth whispering that something was wrong—not broken, just misnamed.
While other Marapets were content with the paths chosen for them, Transella wandered alone through crystal fields and mirror lakes, drawn to reflections that showed more than appearance. Each reflection felt closer to who she truly was, even when she didn’t yet have the words.
One night, guided by a sky streaked in blue, pink, and white, Transella found the legendary Pool of Becoming—a hidden spring said to reveal a Marapet’s true self. When she stepped into the water, the identity she had been assigned fell away. When she emerged, she was no longer living as a “he,” but standing fully, confidently as herself.
Her colors shimmered—not as a transformation into something new, but as the unveiling of what had always been there.
Now known as Transella, she travels Marada as a symbol of truth, courage, and self-recognition. She reminds other Marapets that being told who you are doesn’t make it true—and that becoming yourself is an act of magic.
