Today the money was handed over, the papers submitted, and I am one step closer to being the legal landowner. It's a process! Was told it could take 8 weeks, maybe a year. I'm hoping I remember to blog about this as time goes on. It's exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time.
It looks like we may not be alone up there either,, 2 family members have requested to go with us.
I want trees - weeping willows, pear, apple, cherry blossom, these ones we will have to purchase.
Pine, swamp cedars and regular birch trees are common and easily transplanted on the island.
So today is the day!
