Could you please remember that everyone on this site is a person too? Outbidding someone in auctions isn't personal attack. And I find it very upsetting that I've been attacked lately because I've been lucky and won few auctions.

I have been bullied through all my childhood. I suffer from anxiety and depression because of it. I am 27 now and I still suffer from it.

Taking your frustration out on me because I happened to won and you didn't is not the way to go. I sincerely wish everyone would win every now and then. I surely don't win all the time and I know how it feels to be outbid. But that is how auctions work. Ruining someone elses happiness for them being excited about something they really wanted and won by being bitter and mean to them is wrong in every way.

We are all people here. Please behave accordingly. Internet makes us faceless but it doesn't give you the right to hurt anyone. And I refuse to stay silent about this.

  • iNicole 75 iNicoleI'm not trying to get in the middle of anyone, but maybe the problem should just be left as is if it hasn't resurfaced again. We're on a kids pet site after all.

  • Jhennya 75 JhennyaAll I am hoping to achieve here is what I am trying to achieve in real life as well. By not staying silent, by explaining, maybe someone realizes that they need to learn to accept disappointment and not take it out on others, even when it is so easy on internet. We all feel frustration, we all get angry at times, but we can learn to be better than that. We don't need to hurt others just because we feel bad. And I don't believe in staying silent about bullying. I believe people need to say it's not ok. It is the only way we can ever get to a point where majority of people are nice to each other instead of taking their anger on someone else. And being on a kids site it's very important to say that it's not ok to hurt someone just because you feel bad. That's what kids do, we should understand better as adults but we all need to learn it somehow.

  • Jhennya 75 JhennyaIgnoring is not the way to go in my opinion. Of course you aren't any better if you start yelling and being offending but that is not what I am doing here. Lack of understanding is one of the greatest problems in our world. It leads to lack of empathy which leads to violating others rights. Only way to do something about it is to not accept it and try (no matter how impossible it feels) to make others see that we are all humans with our crazy emotions.

  • Aang 43 AangI'm agreeing with you 100% Jhennya. It may be a "kids" site, but that is even less excuse to keep quiet about bullying really. And the whole auction thing, I think people need to seriously chill about that. As I said on the one's blog last night: If you have ever used eBay, or any other online auction website, you will have been outbid at least one time in the last few seconds. For goodness sake, eBay comes with a built in "bot" that will auto bid for you at the last possible second, provided you set your auto bid limit high enough - this is not exclusive to "shady, spiteful" people on Marapets. I may not know you well, but I've interacted with you in ATM, I don't believe you'd be trying to be spiteful or shady, you just wanted the pet(s) you bid on *shrugs* Nothing wrong with that, certainly nothing warranting rage fits or passive aggressive comments that I saw. Personally, I'm glad you won the auctions - If people are going to be acting like spoiled brats and sore losers over a pixel pet in auctions, they don't deserve to win the pet. *shrugs*
