27 N7Pets and random chat : o People used to be rude for no reason in pet forum but now almost everyone has been nice. It's great. The rudest thing is not responding, and half the time it wasn't malicious. PC ain't bad when I go down there. Lol 😆 I will enjoy some classics when I'm done reading the books of my friends. Bought Rachel's fresh book, and Sasha gave me an old one ^^

27 N7Probably has those too. Mostly seems good though ^^ I hope so. I opened it up and right off the formatting is all wrong, lol. Bugged me so I put it back down. >.> I will read it though. She gave me 'The Master and Margarita'. A Russian rebel (banned by the gov.) wrote it in the 20s and now it's been translated. It's supposedly really funny and brilliant. Haven't read it yet but I'm really looking forward to it.

27 N7Lol 😆 My dad taught himself. -blames other indies who din't- I imagine they could just look at a real book. And with enough effort make theirs look real too That reminds me, once my dad got irritated saying indie books ARE real books. x'D Y'know what I mean!

27 N7Yeah, there are various things to remember to make your book seem legit. :[ Yes... 😆 I just say real instead of professional as shorthand. I know they're real books... I've read and loved indie books m'self. -_- There's just this stupid war going on with people who hate indies vehemently. It's like they take all their passion, and put it against indie authors. So my dad is overly sensitive to anti-indie statements like "It's not a /real/ book," Not that I said that.

Not too mention I'm too lazy to go combing through the Iliad's repetitive war chapters to be funny. Thought? I'm going to pretend you didn't just say that. So what's wrong with independents? 27 N7You would be /so/ funny. And then I wouldn't get it because I still need to read that. >.> Maybe I should too `_` I think it's that they prefer to put authors on the seat of idolatry. Where the other celebrities sit. o_o They act like any real author is a god... Also some of them probably wish they could be authors so it es them off when people act like they are authors when they're not published by one of the few big presses.

0 FireClawYou wouldn't need to read it to get the joke. You'd just need me to be able to express the joke. Eh, there's a lot of killing. I don't mean that in a good way. So far, other than Patroclus' death they've all been pretty hit or miss to me after the first few. I know it's about war, but meh. And the motives for fighting are so... Roman. Eh, make up your own mind. Must be difficult to work hard. I won't lie; being published seems kinda unimportant. Like it isn't something worth pursuing. I'm probably a horrible person for saying that. 😛 All I can really care for is a good story and some lovely characters.

27 N7-hugs- It's okay. I don't need you to be able to tell jokes for me to love you. I think.. I understand. How the whole trojan war was started over a single woman, stuff like that? I wonder what the women did during the wars. Be all like "Man, what the hell are they fighting over again?" while scrubbing their children and running the cities in the mens absence. I'm kinda surprised matriarchal societies weren't more common in ancient times, what with all the men going off to war and dying constantly. No, I think you're one of the best types of people for saying that o_o because it's so awesome and like... low stress. Like hey, I'm gonna write this book .

Because Achilles has his mother beg to Zeus to get some glory for her whiny dog of a son at the cost of Trojans, Acheans, and other groups' lives. And Patroclus is Achilles' best friend. Some best friend. Because females weren't trained to be war mongers and not enough males were being killed off for a female uprising. That's just my guess. Hippie. :3 Just glad to be able to share that. Seems that everything people do must be stressful or it isn't worth doing. Not sure if that's America or everywhere. *Hands you pillow* ^-^

0 FireClawThat reminds me. I was supposed to add to my comments that people at the time also conveniently believed in the Olympian gods. Zeus, being some really crappy dude, would probably give the female population Hell if they did anything good for themselves. Or some of the other gods would.
