I know I've done one of these before, but I wasnt happy about the
result, so here we go again ^^
PS. This tutorial is only useful for people using Paint Tool Sai.

This first part is only for making lineart,
so if you wanna know how to color,
scroll down a few pictures.

Lineart:

If you dont want to draw the lineart on free-hand,
or have shaky hands (like me)
then you should maybe take a look at my first tutorial first ^^

First of all you wanna know what you're gonna draw,
and importantly what position you want what you draw to be in.
Make a quick sketch.

Dont scetch with a black pen!
Why?
because when you gonna redraw the lines you're able to seperate them better!

I was watching a picture of a cat standing on its back legs while drawing this.
It makes the anathomy work better ^^

Next you draw the lineart over the scetch.
Don't be afraid to mess up, it's digital!
That means you can fix anything!

This time use a black pen,
(if you want the outline to be in another color draw with red,
or any other strong color, then select the lineart layer and change the hue.
You can also change it to black)
Use the curved pen for a smooth line ^^

Create a new layer for the lineart.

Touch up the lines, and delete anything that makes the lines uneven.
Also you can delete the scetch now, or atleast hide it.
(to hide, click the eye)

Then you're finnished with the lineart!
now you can choose to color it!


Coloring:
This coloring is based on that you bought the lineart.
If you made it yourself, and still have the original file
you could check out my first tutorial instead.
(link under lineart)

If not, let's begin!

Add another layer.
This is gonna be the main color,
the fur on animals or the skin on humans.

Different from the first tutorial where I spesificly told you guys to keep the
lineart at top at all times, you're now going to put it at the bottom.

Then you set the new layer to "multiply".
This means that it will add the color and the black together,
so you dont smudge the black line.
(this will only work if the lineart is black)

If you do it right,
it should look something like this:

For coloring I like to use the brush,
and trace the outline with a small brush first
and then use the bucket to fill the space.
Remember, no white spots!

Add another new layer for each new color!
This makes it easier to edit later.

When I was finnished,
my drawing looked like this:

Then it's time to shaddow.
Use another new layer for shaddowing for each color.

I use black for shaddowing,
and sets the opacity to 30%.

Then it's time for highlighting.
Put white at 20-30% opacity.

Draw lines where you think the light would hit.
Remember to organize your layers so theres:
1 - light
2 - shaddow
3 - coloring

for each color.
