Phillip: 25 October 2009

On the 25th of October, 2009, my cousin Phillip committed suicide, the fall after his graduation. He was a student of promise.

Grandpa: 25 December 2013

On Christmas Day of 2013, my grandfather passed away after a long battle with cancer. I miss his constant optimism and his laugh.

Spence: 21 August 2017

Spencer took his own life after a long and hard battle with depression. I still feel like I wasn't there enough.

Grandpa: 7 January 2019

My grandfather passed after a hard health battle. I'm grateful I got the opportunity to spend his last Christmas together.

Step Grandmother: 6 May 2020

Though I wasn't close to my step grandmother, I am close to my step mom, and I unfortunately wasn't able to spend this hard time with them due to job responsibilities.

Family Friend: 1 June 2020

This family friend was our neighbor for the first years of my life. I came to see her as a role model as she overcame her challenges. She lost her battle to cancer before I could see her again.
