I find myself always Moving, Chasing his little fingers as to keep him from touching things he can't have When the say reflexes like a Mother, they were not kidding! So here's the thing, always running after him reminds me that I once put my mother through this, as we all do and did as kids. After the baby gate was broken (Yes he broke it, he'll be 2 in October)I realized that this was enough. So I decided to Sit in his room with him as to keep him calm and not breaking things ..... 7 atempts to leave him playing on his own was futile. (so much screaming lol).....5 hours later......
Finally he falls asleep with a big bag of Megablocks in his hands. ( we were building a castle with a boat apparently ) I pick him up and put him in his Bed. he was asleep for 3 hours I wore him right out! Whew finally peace from fingers!!!
The thing is is that all he really wanted was to play with someone, so he does what he does to get me to pay attention to him. he's an only child and I don't blame him! So a word to mothers, (not at the fingers stage) when the time comes, just sit down and spend some time with them, it keeps things in one peace and hey mabey even get a long nap!
