Have you ever wondered where Valentine's Day came from?? You know about Christmas, and Easter, and perhaps even Halloween. Here is the version I found:
A man called Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.
Valentine was a man who made sure everyone knew how much they meant to him. But while in Prison, how could he tell them of his love??
And so he devised a plan, and quickly set it into motion. He began sendning letters and notes to his friends and family.
What was on them??
Small saying such as, 'Remember your Valentine' or 'Thinking about you, Valentine.'
He was killed on February 14.
It is said that his Family and Friends continued to send out small cards, telling everyone how much they loved them.
Slowly this everyday thing became scNothing at allr, until finally in became a yearly holiday called Valentine's Day, in memory of a great man.
And so I ask everyone,
'Will You Be My Valentine?'
