The 2013 Halloween Events will start soon. This year we will have Elger's Trick or Treat, Halloween Account Upgrades, Character Trick or Treat and some other Halloween related news.

A certain Halloween devil has been seen lurking around the site again. We all know how much Beelzebub loves Halloween. As usual Beelzebub has all sorts of Halloween goodies to give away to members who are getting into the Halloween spirit and have a halloween-themed character or profile.



You dont have to have a Halloween costume for your character, just use your imagination and dress your character in some appropriate clothes and makeup to make yourself look appropriately spooky - just be creative!

Although this is mostly a forums-based event, there will also be prizes rewarded randomly to members who are online and have something spooky about their profile, so you may still win something even if you dont have forum access.

The Giant Fruits Shop has been revamped. It now has a brand new shopkeeper and these new items are now restocking.

The Guess the Weight game has been updated. It will only give out the 10 Potato items that are specificly prizes from this game.





The Worm Digging game now has double the chance of picking up a Worm.

This new Neon Costume has just been released. It is on sale at the Games Redemption Shop. The Chibs, Ercuw, Jessup, Quell and Sybri are the first pets to be able to wear it.

There are new Worms for you to dig up in Gigantic Paradise. All Worms are now also gourmet food.

The Hairy, Toy, Nightmare, Ice Cream and Summer Account Upgrades will all retire by October 5th. This will be your last chance to get hold of these Account Upgrade sets - all items will retire!

The Pizza Shop has been revamped. It now has a brand new shopkeeper and some of the older items have new artwork. Some of the Pizza items have been with us since we first opened the site and really needed to be updated. They are also now all Gourmet Food. There are also new gourmet Pizza items now restocking.

NEW MISSION
We have just released a new Mission Game. Nimbus is the home of Greedy Gertrude. Don't let her halo fool you, Greedy Gertrude is not as angelic as she appears. All day Greedy Gertrude sits on her cloud dreaming up ways to prove she is better than everyone else.

Greedy Gertrude is very impressed by pets who enjoy eating Gourmet Foods as much as she does and wants to challenge these pets. She has 30 different missions for you, each harder than the last. Greedy Gertrude will show you a gourmet food item and your pet will need to have eaten this item. You can then come back here and complete the mission.





The Greedy Gertrude mission has been added to the Nimbus world map.

We have now moved to Google Wallet for Account Upgrades. It is an improvement from Google Checkout, meaning that you can purchase credits in-game without leaving MaraPets and you will receive the credits INSTANTLY. The Games Redemption Shop has now opened. Whenever you play our Flash Games, you will now receive 1 Score Point. You can still play each game upto 3 times a day. The Game of the Week will pay 5 Score Points. You can exchange 5 Score Points for 500MP or spend them in this shop on items. New items will be added regularly in the News and any of these items can retire at any time!

The Virgo Treasure Chest has been added to the Account Upgrades. You can open this item to receive 5 random new Virgo themed items, including new clothes, wig, gourmet food, minipet and contact lenses.
This will automatically retire September 22nd.

The Eye Makeup Shopkeeper has been revamped.


Quests now have a Highscore List with these new Trophies.



These new Potions are now restocking.

Here is a sneak preview of the new Thunder Costume that will be released later this week as a prize from the new Lorius mission in Nimbus. The Willa, Ike and Lorius are the first pets to wear the Thunder Costume.

The Birthday Party Event has finished. If you are one of the winners, you will have an Alert and your Prize now. Congratulations to all winners!!

The Mordo can now wear the Brown, Gold, Headless, Radioactive, Silver, Sketch and Snow Costumes.

Remember that we will RETIRE all of the Birthday Event items from the Account Upgrades page by tomorrow. The Birthday Event will also end tomorrow.

The Lorius can now wear the Cheese, Minipet and Millionaire Costumes.
