It's true that you can buy or get the rewards, but my point is that I think it's sad that newer players can never get up to speed to the old accounts. Because even when you get all the past rewards in other ways, you would have to wait for the newer rewards longer than old accounts just because you heard of the game much later.. I understand that they are rewards for a reason and I don't mind waiting to get the rewards in other ways but still it bugs me ;)
