"Oh, hello little friend," she said softly, as one of Stel's eagles flew up onto Dawn's shoulder. She transferred it to her arm, and stroked it's feathers gently.

Stel sighed and turned her face in towards Jack's shoulder. He smelled nice; she just noticed. It was... sweet. Not like sugar, but like fruit. Natural, with a bit of tang to it. Stel perked up her ears. She could hear Dawn sobbing. She used her mind to call one of her eagle sentries and have him fly up and see what was going on.
